What is the difference between the hard-working part time network
marketer who sees little to minimal success and the full time person
who is making big money and doesn’t seem to work as hard or long?


One key difference is leverage.

One guy has it and the other does not.

So, then the secret is getting more leverage, right?

Yes and no: You see leverage is part of that equation, but you have
to know where to obtain it and ultimately, how to be more effective
in marketing and in running every aspect of your business.

For example, the traditional “Contact your friends and family, just
share the products, the 3 foot rule, everyone is your prospect, just
start placing ads or setting up stands at a trade show, etc. are all
means of ineffective marketing and building of your business.

Where is the leverage or smart business sense there?

Honestly, those are simply just ideas passed down in hopes that you
as the downline will do some kind of action to hopefully get some
kind of result that will keep you going. Can you see a sales executive
from a fortune 500 company working his business the way most of
us in network marketing do? No way, he would laugh at his boss if
he was told to market his business that way. It lacks total business
sense and is ultimately based on hope and chance rather than planning
and design.

Now, before you get all upset and say, "Who is this guy telling me that
what I am doing is not effective, and what does he know?"

Well, the truth is, I have done every single one of the techniques I have
listed above throughout my network marketing career. I did the warm market
deal, the 3 foot rule, the flyers, the product sharing, the trade booths, the hyped
up meetings, the one on one presentation at the local Starbucks, and even got
kicked out of two Wal-Marts and a Target for prospecting customers! Not fun.

I did those things because that is what they said will bring success and that if
I wanted it bad enough that I would do whatever it takes (and they really meant,
whatever it takes)! You could be going through the same things yourself right now.

Now, looking back, I laugh at all those crazy things I did just to get people
involved or to sell my products.

Why do I laugh now?


Well, since that time, I found a mentor in this industry who was already marketing
much more effectively than anyone I had ever seen. I hooked up with this person,
signed up in their company, and followed their system. I also started doing my own
research into marketing and how to leverage your efforts in this industry.

(By the way, this 'system' I am referring to was NOT the system that the other
reps in our crosslines in the company were using. It was very unique and
unlike a bunch of other stuff I had done; this flat out got RESULTS!)

Long story short, within 6 months of applying the 5 key elements I learned in the
correct way, I was one of the top recruiters for my company month after month,
and even the top in the company one particular month in 2007!

I am still involved with that mentor, and still involved in their organization, but now since
I have tasted success in this industry and my real passion has always been to help
people in a meaningful way; I have switched gears and am concentrating on using
my knowledge and experiences to educate and equip other network marketers for
true success in their own business.
